Join us as a Senior Java Software Developer in Helsinki or Lisbon. You'll join our Replenishment team of 5 people, who will help you succeed in your new role. Together with the team, you will develop our replenishment solutions, build new features in this domain, and support other related software projects. This is some of what you'll be doing:

Developing new and improving existing functionality of our Saa S product serving hundreds of customers.
Participating in the design of the new solutions in cooperation with our product and research teams.
Developing and maintaining software components primarily in Java, but also in smaller parts in Kotlin, Ruby, and other languages.
Designing and developing automated tests for our solutions.
Ensuring that our solutions have sufficient performance to process vast amounts of data in minutes and also supporting other teams in testing the performance of their solutions.
Learning about delivery schedule, replenishment, and other supply chain topics.

We're looking for:

Strong engineering expertise and experience in production-quality software development with Java.
7+ years of experience in business logic or other backend development.
Solid understanding of data structures, business logic, and developing production quality solutions and using supporting tools such as Gitlab.
Passion for designing and implementing solutions to non-trivial problems in a performant way.
Eagerness to design, plan, and communicate your work and how we build solutions.
A self-motivated, proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Understanding of and desire to learn how supply chains work.
Knowledge of data structure.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Alignment with RELEX's core values.
Fluent in spoken and written English (it's our company language).

We consider as an additional advantage:

Previous experience with or other understanding of supply chain software, especially related to replenishment
Experience with functional programming

Note: This is a hands-on position and not a management role. While it involves collaboration and leadership within the team, the focus is on technical expertise and direct contributions to the work rather than managerial responsibilities.
