We’re innovative, driven people who strive for excellence in everything we do. Teamwork, curiosity, and having fun are core values at ICEYE, and contribute to Making the Impossible possible!!

Why should you work for us?

ICEYE is at the cutting edge of new technology and we are continuing to build and operate our commercial constellation of SAR satellites. Working with ICEYE, you will be part of making the impossible possible, whilst shaping the Earth Observation industry. You will work with varied, diverse and engaged colleagues to further the ICEYE mission. At ICEYE we realise that without great people we can not succeed, therefore you will be an integral, valued and appreciated colleague, with the ability to directly shape the vision and direction of the business.

We actively support Continuous Professional Development, and will provide access to a range of avenues to allow you to succeed, including courses, training and attendance at conferences. ICEYE is a place where your development, your growth and your success is a priority.

What will you do in this role?
As a Senior Satellite Production Engineer, you will play a key role in the fast-paced, innovative world of satellite production, driving the transition of designs from early-stage R&D into scalable, high-quality manufacturing processes. You will bridge the gap between teams developing cutting-edge satellite technologies and the production line, ensuring that designs move seamlessly into production environments that can support repeated manufacturing with rigorous test coverage.
This role is crucial for ensuring that PCBAs, mechanical parts, and system integration processes are both efficient and reliable, providing the technical leadership necessary to maintain high standards while supporting the dynamic nature of the New Space industry. You will work on small satellites and similar platforms, with a focus on rapid prototyping and the iterative improvements required to succeed in this industry.
Your expertise in transitioning verification and assembly procedures, typically developed with R&D and prototype purposes in mind, will be essential for transforming these into detailed, productized workflows. You’ll also drive innovation in production automation, using your programming skills in Python, to ensure that the process remains agile, scalable, and highly adaptable.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing Process Improvement
Continuously develop, implement, maintain and improve current manufacturing processes including equipment, documentation, tooling/fixtures to optimize quality, productivity and cost.
  • New Equipment & Process Implementation
Plan, specify, validate and implement new equipment, processes and facilities in manufacturing to support production scaling and quality improvements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D and production to build standardized yet adaptable workflows that meet the unique challenges of the New Space industry.
  • Production Tools and Equipment Management
Manage the development and approval of production tools, equipment and JIGs ensuring they meet operational standards for scalable and repeatable manufacturing.
Requirements
What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Experience in Agile, Fast-paced Environments
Comfortable and effective in working within agile, dynamic environments where rapid iteration and adaptation are key, particularly in industries like New Space or electronics manufacturing.
  • 5+ Years of Experience in Manufacturing at Scale
At least 5 years of experience in managing manufacturing processes at scale, with a track record of driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Educational Background
A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in these areas are a plus.
  • Adaptability in Dynamic Environments
Comfortable with the dynamic nature of innovative environments, where priorities can shift frequently and the ability to adapt quickly is crucial.
  • Communication Skills
Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication in a global, cross-functional environment.
Benefits
  • A job that matters in a dynamic Earth Observation environment with a scale-up approach
  • Gross salary range for this position is between 5500€- 6000€ /month contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
  • An independent role with a supportive and diverse work environment
  • Occupational healthcare, occupational and private insurance
  • A yearly benefit budget to spend as you wish (i.e. on sport, transport, bike benefit, wellness, lunch, etc.)
  • Phone subscription with i Phone of choice
  • Relocation support (i.e. flight tickets, accommodation, relocation agency support)
  • Time for self-development, research, training, conferences, or certification schemes
  • Inspiring and collaborating offices and silent workspaces enable you to focus
  • A wide variety of the best coffee, tea, snacks, and sweets to accompany your daily space mission
