We are involved in "new space" projects related to sending satellite constellations into space. To provide the best responses to our clients, we need to strengthen our R&D teams with a Mechanical Architect who will:

• Definition and specification of mechanical and thermal design
  • Derive equipment specification into mechanical and thermal requirements
  • Write mechanical and thermal requirements for the equipment
  • Define mechanical architecture (including subsystems, components, interconnections, fixations…)

• Implementation of mechanical and thermal analysis and reports
  • Justify mechanical and thermal design using finite elements models and simulations
  • Write and/or manage mechanical analysis
  • Write and/or manage thermal analysis

• Management of mechanical development team and subcontractor (if any)
  • Define work packages and distribute tasks
  • Provide support and expertise to team
  • Follow up team and subcontractor progress

• Simulation, prototyping, tests and validation
  • Model, simulate and test critical mechanical and thermal components
  • Define mechanical and thermal development and test plan
  • Write and/or manage mechanical and thermal test procedure

• Project team work
  • Define interfaces in collaboration with other subsystems (AIT, Electronic, system engineer, customer…)
  • Participate in project reviews and meetings (including with customer)

Profile Description
You are a graduate of an engineering school specializing in mechanical engineering, with a few years of professional experience with spatial companies, and you have the following skills:

• Min 5-8 years of experience in space equipment mechanical design
• Experience with Solidworks (or alternatively CATIA)
• Experience with Nastran/ANSYS (or alternatively COMSOL)
• Knowledge of ECSS space norms (or similar)
• V-cycle development
• MS Office
• English fluent

Permanent Position
Salary: Negotiable – starting from €45K CSE benefits Company
