Rarecells Diagnostics (www.rarecells.com, www.isetbyrarecells.com), is an innovative and dynamic company based in France and the US, spin-off of Paris Descartes University, INSERM and APHP. Through its proprietary technology, the Isolation by Size or Tumor Cells (ISET®) for isolation and characterization of Circulating Tumor cells (CTC), internationally recognized by 117 independent scientific publications,Rarecells has provided a novel paradigm to the field of circulating tumor cells (CTC) and has implemented the ISET® technology in international Cancer Centers of excellence. The ISET® technology allows to extract CTC from blood without loss and keeps them intact for their reliable diagnosis. It makes it possible to follow the patients with any type of solid cancer by simple blood test in order to adapt the treatments and to prevent the formation of the metastases. Moreover, unique in the world, it has been shown to be able to detect invasive cancers very early, before their detection by imaging.

Infrastructure:
The Rarecells Diagnostics lab is located in the building of the Necker Faculty of Medicine and is fully equipped to perform technology developments, cell culture, cellular and molecular studies, immunolabelling, and single-cell genetic analysis. This includes a laser microdissection system, equipment for single-cell micromanipulation as well as a three-step forward PCR lab space and equipment. The team is working in a public/private partnership and has also access to the fully equipped Institut Imagine CGH and Next generation sequencing platform (Life technology and Illumina instruments).

The candidate will be part of the Molecular Biology team led at Rarecells Diagnostics by Dr Maryam Heidary, Ph D and will report directly to Dr Heidary, and Prof Patrizia Paterlini-Bréchot, MD, Ph D., inventor of the ISET® Technology and CEO of Rarecells Diagnostics.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Molecular Biology Laboratory technician to join our multidisciplinary team to perform genomic and epigenetic characterization of Circulating Rare Cells (CRCs). These different types of molecular profiles will provide a comprehensive view and accelerate the discovery of biomarker candidates for cancer screening and diagnosis at an early stage.

Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive genomic analysis of cancer biomarkers (circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA), including genomic alterations (SNV, CNV, fusion, etc).
· Perform epigenetics analysis of cancer biomarkers, focusing on DNA methylation analysis within circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA.
· Execute molecular biology techniques such as PCR, dd PCR, next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparations, DNA methylation analysis (e.g., bisulfite sequencing).
· Employ cell biology techniques such as cell culturing, cytological staining, microscopy and laser microdissection
· Process blood and urine samples using the ISET® System and perform downstream analyses.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
· Experience in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, dd PCR, next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation.
· Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
· Proficiency in English communication.
Additional Competencies and/or Desirable Qualifications:
· Knowledge of cancer biology and cancer genomics.
· Experience with cancer biomarkers like circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and circulating tumor DNA (ct DNA).
· Proficiency in DNA methylation analysis (e.g., bisulfite sequencing).
· Familiarity with cell biology techniques, including cell culturing, microscopy, and laser microdissection.
· Prior experience in blood and urine sample processing and analysis.
