As part of the proposed European Operating Model transformation, this critical and dynamic role will lead Scientific & Regulatory Affairs activities in the France, Belgium, Netherlands cluster, a cluster where the highly active regulators in each of these markets adds complexity over and above the existence of regulations enforceable at European level which may be numerous with interdependencies. The successful candidate will identify scientific and regulatory issues, defining their implications for the business and ensuring that implementation plans are developed and deployed to become/remain compliant, or to ensure any initiatives can be turned into business opportunities.

What are we looking for?

• Ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity
  
• At ease in communicating, stakeholder management and influencing internally and externally, able to work with diverse teams in diverse locations, engaging their input and commitment to success
  
• Fluent in English (written & spoken) as well as language of cluster country.
  
• 5+ Years experience in SRA or related technical disciplines
  
• University degree or equivalent
  
• Strong organization skills, and ability to handle many tasks simultaneously.
  
• Collaboration culture and a positive mindset, seeing change as an opportunity
  

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Provides strategic regulatory guidance to relevant internal partners on existing and new regulations and emerging regulatory issues and manages technical regulatory issues. Maintaining up to date knowledge on key developments in regulation and policy via multiple routes.
  
• Accountable for the development and execution of the external regulatory influencing strategy related to complex cluster organization in collaboration with relevant internal partners, representing the company with external partners to influence policy and legislation proactively.
  
• Provides leadership for compliance activities in complex market to ensure adherence to internal compliance processes and practices, and continuously reviews and improves these processes and procedures; Has accountability for assuring ingredients, recipes, labelling, and packaging are in full compliance with laws and regulations in the cluster.
  
• Leads complex and strategically important SRA projects, some with regional or global scope and impact and sits on relevant local and regional fora.
