AWS Architect- Hybrid Work Model

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect to design and implement a robust AWS infrastructure solution for our Customer Data Platform (CDP). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in AWS services, data engineering, and scalable architecture design. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to build a high-performance, secure, and cost-effective data platform in a hybrid work environment.
Skills required:
  • Proven experience with AWS services and deep knowledge of cloud-based data platform architectures.
  • Strong expertise in data engineering and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in designing fault-tolerant and scalable cloud architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) tools, specifically Terraform and/or Cloud Formation.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks for data privacy.
  • Excellent documentation skills to communicate complex architectural concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • AWS Services Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of AWS services relevant to data platforms, including EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Data Engineering and Warehousing: Apply data engineering and data warehousing concepts to support the design and implementation of the CDP.
  • Scalable Architecture Design: Design scalable, fault-tolerant architectures that align with business requirements, ensuring reliability and cost-efficiency.
  • Solution Architecture: Architect the overall AWS infrastructure for the CDP, including network topology (VPC), compute resources (e.g., EC2), storage solutions (e.g., S3, EBS), and security measures (IAM, Security Groups).
  • Infrastructure as Code (Ia C): Collaborate with Dev Ops engineers to build and maintain Ia C templates using tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation for efficient, automated deployments.
  • Service Implementation: Oversee the implementation of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda to facilitate data ingestion, processing, and storage within the CDP.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, deployment procedures, and best practices.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with AWS security best practices and industry standards, including data privacy and protection regulations.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the infrastructure for performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

Experience:
