AWS Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled AWS Security Engineer with a strong foundation in data security best practices, regulations, and AWS security tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing security controls, conducting regular security assessments, and responding to security incidents to safeguard our AWS-based Customer Data Platform (CDP). This role involves close collaboration with AWS architects and engineers to ensure security is embedded in all aspects of the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Security Compliance: Maintain knowledge of data security best practices and relevant regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, to ensure compliance.
- AWS Security Tools: Utilize AWS security tools, including AWS Security Hub, Inspector, and Guard Duty, to enhance the security posture of the infrastructure.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
- Security Control Implementation: Design and implement security controls across the AWS infrastructure, including access management (IAM), encryption (KMS), and regular vulnerability scanning.
- Regular Security Assessments: Perform regular security assessments and penetration testing to continuously improve the security of the CDP.
- Incident Monitoring and Response: Monitor security logs and alerts, and respond promptly to any security incidents, ensuring a rapid and effective response.
- Threat Awareness and Protection: Stay updated on security threats and best practices to proactively protect the CDP infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with AWS architects and engineers to integrate security measures into the infrastructure from the initial design phase.
- Policy Development: Contribute to developing and maintaining security policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect current best practices.
- Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of data security regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and best practices.
- AWS Security Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS security tools like Security Hub, Inspector, and Guard Duty.
- Assessment and Testing Skills: Proficient in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing techniques.
- Security Control Design: Experience designing and implementing security controls, including IAM, encryption with KMS, and vulnerability scanning on AWS.
- Incident Management: Ability to monitor, identify, and respond to security threats effectively.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying up-to-date with evolving security threats and best practices.
- Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams to embed security into all layers of the infrastructure.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: 500,00€ - 550,00€ per day
Experience:
- AWS Security tools: 5 years (Preferred)
- German upto B2/ C1 level (Preferred)
- Work permit with sponsorship to work in Germany (Preferred)
- Frankfurt (Preferred)
