We are searching for a Business Development Engineer (m/f/x) Semiconductors for our office in Nuremberg or Munich or from a remote location in Germany.
Job Purpose
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Understand the system architectures of reference designs of IC makers and design house as well as their future trends
- Pro-actively identify, get and report information about new opportunities according to product policies
- Promote Murata products in line with product strategies set by the product divisions
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the IC makers and design houses over all levels within their organizations, to be supported by frequent visits according to business unit guidelines
- Prepare, implement and monitor a strategic account plan for each assigned key IC maker and design house, including each target customer, market and competitor analysis
- Prepare, maintain and achieve the agreed SOP target plan within the allocated IC maker and design house base
- Issue regular reports such as visit & activity reports, monthly reports and create/maintain the related project documents in CRM
- Communicate and cooperate with Inside Sales staff for sample support to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction
- Create new products in cooperation with IC makers and product divisions
Required Knowledge/Experience:
- University degree with a technical focus, Electrical Engineering or Electronics preferred
- Solid professional experience in Sales (3+ years)
- Proven business development knowledge and system level understanding
- Automotive applications and market knowledge
- Good Product knowledge and promotion skills
- Advanced English language skills in speaking and writing, including negotiation and presentation skills
- Good local language skills (depending of assigned IC maker and/or workplace location)
- Good command in standard software (MS Office, etc.) and special business software (e.g. CRM tool)
- Commercial skills
- Market knowledge
- Intercultural skills
- Basic knowledge in quality management
- Willingness to make business trips within and outside of Europe
