Looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (m|f|d) in Berlin!
For the finance department at Whitecliffe | mdh Hochschule für Design, Informatik, Recht, Ökonomie Gmb H and at our Berlin location, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (m|f|d), full-time, to strengthen our leadership team in a full-time position.
Your responsibilities:
As CFO, you will assume a key role in our company and be responsible for financial strategy and management. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Strategic leadership and management of the finance, accounting, and analytical support functions.
• Developing and overseeing the annual business plan, operating budget, and capital budget in close collaboration with senior management.
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders (management, board, audit committee, lenders, investors), as well as budgets and management reports.
• Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, creating financial models, and analyzing trends.
• Developing and monitoring key performance indicators to manage the company’s financial performance.
• Overseeing financial stability, cash flow, and profitability, while developing risk mitigation measures.
• Leading tax compliance and planning in collaboration with external advisors, ensuring that the company manages its tax position effectively to minimize liabilities, and ensuring timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
• Researching, designing, testing, documenting, and implementing top-tier financial control systems, policies, and procedures, while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Actively introducing and participating in new or existing initiatives to increase revenue and profit.
• Assisting in negotiations for all key banking agreements, ensuring that operating lines, cash management, and short-term investments meet the company’s needs cost-effectively, and ensuring compliance with all debt covenants. This includes working with existing and potential banking partners to implement an optimal cash management system.
• Collaborating with existing and potential lenders to monitor financing facilities.
• Leading the integration of additional acquisitions, focusing on quantifying and realizing synergies and integrating financial reporting with the rest of the group.
• Close collaboration with the IT department and supporting the implementation of new systems and processes.
• Performing other duties necessary to maximize the value and the ongoing operations and administration of the company.

Your profile:

• A completed degree in business administration, finance, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in a senior financial position, ideally in an international environment.
• Extensive knowledge in financial management, accounting, tax planning, and reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of payroll accounting, as well as social security and tax law.
• Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies, as well as working with budgeting and forecasting systems.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and communication skills.
• Fluency in both German and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Datev Pro is essential.
