Your contribution will be

• Planning and coordination of daily communications activities, such as press releases, social media content and website content
• Creating synergies in close cooperation with the national and international communications team as well as other departments and ensuring that FOUR PAWS content reaches the respective target groups as effectively as possible, thus maximising the visibility of FOUR PAWS' campaign and awareness-raising work
• Monitoring the quality and ensuring through your editorial work that the content meets FOUR PAWS' standards
• Identifying communications opportunities and plan the relevant content together with the team
• Creating communication strategies and concepts for FOUR PAWS campaigns in collaboration with the team
• Supporting the crisis management by coordinating the relevant communication
• Monitoring internal communications to ensure that employees and volunteers are informed about important organisational news and initiatives

Your profile ideally illustrates

• Several years of experience in journalism or public relations, ideally in a coordinating role, e.g. as project manager, at the news desk and/or as duty editor
• Cross-media experience and knowledge of both journalism/press relations and social media
• A strong sense for the news value and relevance of topics as well as for the right time and the right target group
• An understanding of the dramaturgy of texts and ideas for creative storytelling in words and images
• Experience in editing texts, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• German skills at native speaker level with flawless spelling and grammar
• Very good English skills written and spoken
• Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
