IFF is looking to hire a junior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, for its Operations Team in Niebüll, Germany (Schleswig-Holstein, Flensburg area), on a fix-term mode for project activity.
Niebüll plant is both a critical site as the Headquarter of Danisco Deutschland Gmb H and an important plant for Cultures & Probiotics portfolio in Europe.
Within an Automation and Process Control major upgrade Project, IFF is opening a project-related position as an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer. The E&I project Engineer will have particularly in charge the technical design of electrical cabinets, devices and network to fit the need as described into the project charter. The mission will be mostly linked to Electrical and Instrumental Engineering through all project phases from design to qualification. It will comprise reverse-engineering of Field IOs cabinets and resulting gap-analysis of the existing installation to refine project scope accordingly.
This Project is the first Phase of a Master Plan. This Phase I will take place on a 2-years basis, that is to say until December 2026 at the earliest. This project is Schedule driven; the E&I Engineer is wanted as soon as possible, based in Niebüll, 5 days a week, on-site.

• Is primarily responsible for E&I scope as a critical Project team member
• Execute detailed studies on Field Electricity for Process Control (low voltage IOs cabinets, Field Bus Network), collaborate with suppliers for design & update of electrical diagrams
• On-site inspection and refinement of project requirements in close cooperation with Maintenance department
• Write specifications for Instrumentation & control technology in the field.
• Follow-up on installation phases in the field (cables trays, cabling, cabinets)
• Respect and defend Project planning and objectives, by working with Project Manager and Technology Team Lead as direct line management. Work in coordination with Project team members and suppliers
• Input and follow-up on Project planning regarding Electrical scope
• Input Cost estimate regarding Electrical & Instrumentation scope
• Act as a guardian for Electrical documentation (as-is as well as project documents), compile up-to-date documentation for handover to Maintenance department
• Drive electrical engineering activities during shutdown in respect of given time, prepare tie-ins and pre-assemblies accordingly.
• Execute Electrical Acceptance Test, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and every qualification activity. Is specifically responsible for Electrical Milestones from the Readiness-to-operate plan.
• Is strongly safety-minded in daily-basis electrical expertise and tasks through strict application of regulatory, standards and norms from local and company referential with a Zero-incident objective.
• Participate in Process Safety Management program on site as Electrical professional: may include participation in PHA (Process Hazard Analysis), MOC (Management of Change) and SIS design (Safety Instrumented Systems) within Project scope.
• Will be working on a daily basis with various functions, such as: project manager, technology team leader, process engineers, automation engineer, production & maintenance technicians, instrumentation technician, suppliers professionals, as well as with Site management Team.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 1-2yrs significant experience as a graduate or as an apprentice, in the Industry - or equivalent as a senior technician with several years of relevant experience.
• Electrical certification recognized in Germany (EFK according to DIN VDE 1000 -10) – training can be foreseen if necessary
• Experience as a Project team member: basics of project management from design to qualification
• Experience in process engineering environment is a plus
• Knowledge in Instrumentation design as well as in control loop design is a plus
• Proficient user of specific design software such as EPLAN, CAD is a plus
• Fluent German is mandatory, as well as good working knowledge in English (written, spoken)
