In cooperation with the Oberhausen Youth Welfare Office, Friedensdorf International looks after unaccompanied foreign minors (UMA) in a separate living area. These young people, who come to the Federal Republic of Germany from crisis areas around the world without legal guardians or parents and who are under 18 years old when they enter the country, are looked after by various organizations in cooperation with Friedensdorf. In this way, different nations, cultures, languages and religions come into contact with each other every day in their coexistence.
We are now looking for committed employees to care for and support unaccompanied minor refugees in their everyday lives.

Tasks:

• Daily care for unaccompanied minor refugees
• Accompaniment to official appointments
• Participation in team meetings and shift handovers
• Creating documentation and reports

What you bring with you:

• Completed training in the nursing or educational field, such as educator, family carer, child care worker, special education worker, nursing assistant, social assistant or care assistant
• Enjoyment in dealing with young people and sensitivity to the different cultural backgrounds of young people
• Ability to work in a team, empathy, commitment, flexibility and a structured way of working
• Curiosity and desire to work in a multicultural learning field and peace education
• Driving license class B

The weekly working hours of 40 hours are divided into early shifts (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and late shifts (11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), weekend shifts and shifts on Sundays and public holidays.
