ESG Investment Director - Regenerative Agriculture (all genders)

Are you a visionary leader with a proven track record in sustainable finance? We invite you to take on a pivotal role as the ESG Investment Director, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our sustainability goals. If you are passionate about regenerative agriculture and have a knack for engaging investors in a project base, this is the opportunity for you!

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of impactful investment strategies that align with our vision in the Crop Science division
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with ESG factors in agriculture investments
Investor Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to attract capital for regenerative agriculture initiatives, fostering strong relationships with project-related investors
Tailored Communication: Craft impactful tools—such as webinars and reports—that effectively showcase the sustainability impact of our initiatives and engage stakeholders in the sustainable finance arena
Proficient Advocacy: Utilize your deep understanding of sustainable finance principles to articulate business initiatives to investors, internal and external stakeholders compellingly
Stakeholder Trust: Build and maintain trust among stakeholders through transparent communication and effective reputation management, enhancing our brand as a responsible leader in the industry
Market Analysis: Collaborate with corporate teams to analyze financial trends and shareholder issues, enhancing our position with ESG rating agencies and regenerative agriculture frameworks
Partnership Development: Formulate partner relations strategies for our initiaves aligned with external sustainable finance & ESG frameworks, ensuring clear communication of these strategies to internal and external audiences

WHO YOU ARE

Advanced degree in sustainability, environmental science, business administration, or a related field
A minimum of 12 years of experience in sustainable/green finance, ESG analysis and investments, or related fields, preferably within the food and agriculture sector
Strong grasp of ESG principles, reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements
Experience executing materiality assessments and a thorough understanding of sustainability standards and international requirements
Proven success in investor engagement and capital attraction in sustainable finance
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
An analytical mindset with a talent for interpreting financial data and trends
Demonstrated leadership in sustainable finance projects, with a track record of driving results and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
