Job Description:
The Global Purchasing Director will lead the global procurement function across multiple international locations, including Germany, Serbia, Italy, Czech Republic, and China. The role involves creating a cohesive, high-performing team, and aligning global procurement strategies with business objectives. This leader will optimize supply chain efficiency, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reductions across Strategic Procurement, Operational Procurement, and Supplier Development functions.

What you will do:
  • Develop and execute global procurement strategies that cover major spend categories and align with business needs.
  • Build and manage a global procurement organization across multiple countries, ensuring collaboration and synchronization across sites.
  • Lead supplier development initiatives, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
  • Oversee operational procurement to ensure the supply chain is resilient and aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement cost-saving programs globally.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to ensure procurement strategies support the company’s operational and financial goals.
  • Conduct high-level supplier negotiations and manage global contracts to ensure value creation.

We are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in global procurement, ideally with exposure to automotive.
  • Working knowledge of SAP experience preferred.
  • Proven success in managing multi-country procurement teams and creating global alignment.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in supplier development and operational procurement.
  • Analytical mindset with a track record of implementing cost reduction and efficiency programs.
  • Ability to work from the Bonndorf, Germany location regularly.
