About the team:

The Business Data Cloud Insight App team creates ready to use content and applications for customer consumption in our cloud-based analytics portfolio. The area of work spreads from HANA, Datasphere, Foundation Services, SAC all the way to Corporate Planning. There are enormous amounts of technology involved, such as the HANA Database, Datalake filestorage, typescript, SQLScript, Python, C++ and also simple frontend designs. The tasks are widespread and are a perfect way to see the cross section of SAP Analytics.

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP Business Data Cloud – Insight App Development Intern (f/m/d)
Work Area: Software-Design and Development

In this role, you’ll:

• We are searching for a to be software engineer steady in Python, SPARK and data application programming. The student will support creating derived data products using delta lake by creating data transforms with SPARK.
• Business Data Cloud Insight Apps should bring SAPs business data nearer to the analyst and prepare it ready for use in multiple use-cases such as machine learning, analytics, and data science.
• You will be given the task to scan source data from S/4HANA and other lines of business, acquire the data, harmonize it in a relevant way for use in other technologies using HANA Datalake Files, Python and Spark jobs for processing.

Who you are:

You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Science
• Computer skills: Python (incl. Py Spark), SQL, ABAP is a plus, web development as well
• Language skills: Fluent in English, German as a plus
• Soft skills: Creative, geek in data and analytics
