Primary Job Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on IP issues and enhance patent portfolio
• Identify new inventions and manage prosecution of EP patent applications
• Assist with IP due diligence activities and assessment of litigation risks
• Provide IP litigation support
• Review and draft agreements for IP transactions, R&D projects and commercial contracts with IP terms
• Provide training to members of LG Energy Solution and its affiliates in Europe
• Work closely with other in-house members and outside attorneys to accomplish assigned tasks and goals

Professional and Personal Competences

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Industrial Engineering or comparable qualification (knowledge in battery technology a plus)
• Admission as European and/or German Patent Attorney
• 2 to 6 years of law firm and/or in-house experience
• Ability to present complex technical and legal issues in an understandable and convincing manner in German and English
• Korean language skills would be an advantage, but are not required
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
