We are looking for a German-speaking Intern to join Riverside's Munich team. You will have the opportunity to join a global investment firm with $14bn under management, an international portfolio of more than 140 companies and a network of 300+ locally-based team members. Riverside focuses on the smaller end of the middle market and has completed over 1,000 investments since its founding in 1988.

Start Date: From October 2024 onwards
Internship Overview:
As an intern with The Riverside Company’s private equity investment team in Munich, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to sourcing, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities across the DACH region and Europe. You will work closely with experienced professionals and participate in various stages of the investment process.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct industry and market research to identify attractive investment sectors and potential targets
Support the investment team in financial modeling and related analysis for the evaluation of new opportunities (incl. valuation methods such as CTA and CCA)
Assist with the preparation of investment committee materials and internal presentations
Participate in due diligence processes, including coordination with external advisors
Help in monitoring portfolio companies and preparing quarterly reports.
Engage in various aspects of deal origination and execution, including preparing of internal memos and related tasks

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an advanced semester or recently graduated from a leading university with a focus on Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related fields
Prior experience as an intern in private equity, investment banking/M&A or strategy consulting
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an understanding of financial statements and valuation methods
Fluency in German and English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Power Point
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
