Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee various customer projects within the ABB Motion Project Execution department for Medium Voltage Large Motors and Drives in Mannheim / Germany. Providing clear guidelines, tasks and milestones, while motivating and providing feedback. Reporting to the Head of Project Management, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent service at every stage of the project. The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-Hybrid You will mainly be responsible for • Take on full responsibility for customer projects – including its proper structuring, planning, budgeting, monitoring and execution • Oversee commercial aspects of order execution relating to several customer projects with the aim of ensuring quality and efficiency • Actively identify project risks with regard to timing, costs, and contractual considerations, and initiate suitable countermeasures • Act as reliable point of contact for customers (change management, FATs, claim management, etc.) • Work on optimizing the general processing and use of resources • Report status/ progress to internal stakeholders and customer with appropriate detail

Qualifications for the role

• To succeed in the role, you have a minimum of 3 years of higher technical education, combined with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Professional level of English and German written and spoken communication skills, other languages are an asset
• Flexibility and an open mindset are important features to be successful in this role.
• If you have experience in delivery and contract projects, preferably with some knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering, programming, drive systems, control systems, mechanical equipment, installation and commissioning, will be a plus
• Previous ABB-experience is considered a plus
