Merchant Solutions Technology

The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry to provide our clients new products and innovation to meet their growing needs within an Agile Fin Tech-like setup. We deliver innovative products such as our Digital Payment Gateway (creating an API based solution allowing Marketplaces and Merchant to streamline their payment processing and settlement activities). As part of our new team within the Berlin Tech Hub you will be responsible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration and will liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.

As a Scrum Master (f/m/x), you will serve as the pivotal facilitator between our business and technical delivery squads, fostering an agile environment that promotes effective collaboration. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless communication, maintaining a consistent workflow, achieving high throughput, upholding service stability, and delivering exceptional customer value.

Your key responsibilities
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, through a clear understanding of the aim of each ceremony, taking corrective measures as required to ensure they are effective
  • Help the agile team to continuously improve the effectiveness of their incremental delivery of value to clients & stakeholders by monitoring agile team metrics including velocity, Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and team health while at the same time identifying inefficiencies in agile team operation and removing impediments to the agile team's progress
  • Advise, facilitate, mentor and coach agile team members and stakeholders
  • Understand the context of teams supported including strategic targets, delivery targets, structure, agile framework(s), constraints, team-dynamics, mindsets, human nature and technical considerations
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaborative environment and advocate self-organization
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and agile team to ensure a healthy prioritized product backlog and with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to continuously improve the agile process

Your skills and experiences
  • You are an expert in Scrum, Scaled Agile processes, and related techniques, derived from leading agile teams in different environments and have several years of working experience
  • You are comfortable offering guidance and leadership, both individually and at team levels
  • You are passionate about agile values, coaching and supporting people to embrace changes to their way of working
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset and dedication to finding new ways of working
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language knowledge would be a plus.

Corporate Bank Phoenix

As a Scrum Master (m/f/x) you will work across our two Squads and actively live and promote agile thinking and culture as well as enable the team to work as efficiently as possible by removing obstacles and distractions.

Your key responsibilities
  • You facilitate Scrum ceremonies and closely collaborate with all Squad team members to ensure that a healthy prioritized product backlog is maintained, and Tribe and Squad goals are understood by everyone in the Squad
  • You help the Squad to continuously improve the effectiveness of their incremental delivery of value to clients and stakeholders. Furthermore, you identify inefficiencies in the Squad operation and remove impediments to the Squad's progress
  • You live and promote an agile mindset and culture within the Tribe. You act as a coach and facilitator within the team for self-organisation and cross-functionality – and deliver agile trainings within your Squads on demand
  • You create physiologically safe environments for teams, enabling them to own their outcomes, surface dependencies & risks and escalate in a timely manner

Your skills and experiences
  • You have several years of experience working in agile environments and applying agile methodologies and frameworks in practice (Scrum, Kanban), ideally in a scaled agile environment
  • You have at least one year of experience working as a Scrum Master for one or several Scrum teams
  • You are used to proactively structure and manage your workload and have very good organizational, communication and conflict management skills.
  • You have strong motivational skills and practical experience in coaching others to continuously improve in their job
  • You are a very good team player and are used to collaborate with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and seniority levels. Furthermore, you can communicate fluently in English, German is a Plus
