Senior Accountant (m/f/d)
- Field: Renewable Energy
- Location: Munich, Germany
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and quarterly closing activities, including intercompany reconciliations, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, with a focus on IFRS 15 and the correct application of accounting standards for EPC and construction projects.
- Perform quarterly financial reporting to banks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with external requirements.
- Work within DATEV and SAP S4/HANA systems for daily bookings, reporting, and analysis.
- Manage daily financial operations such as Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring smooth coordination with the finance team.
- Collaborate with the team to implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support our growing operations.
- Good understanding of VAT-related tasks, ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with external tax advisors and auditors
- Successfully completed studies in business administration, accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, especially IFRS 15, and experience with accounting for EPC and construction projects.
- Proficiency with DATEV and SAP S4/HANA is required.
- Good understanding of VAT
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
