We are looking for a
Senior Finance Manager (m/w/d)
in Munich (with remote work option)
to oversee our financial operations, balancing day-to-day management with strategic planning to drive the company’s growth as we prepare for our upcoming Series A financing round. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills ideally coupled with hands-on experience in accounting systems, expertise in HGB and/or IFRS accounting standards and the ability to drive and oversee FP&A activities. As we continue to grow, this role will be instrumental in building and leading the finance team. There is also potential for this position to transition into a Head of Finance role.

- Financial planning & controlling: Build and maintain financial models and forecasts for short- and long-term planning, offering strategic insights to improve profitability and risk identification
- Corporate Finance, cash flow & treasury management: Develop and enhance cash flow forecasting and treasury strategies, mainly focused on optimizing working capital and liquidity management through short-term investments.
- Financial management & reporting: Oversee financial operations, supervise accounting, and manage month- and year-end close. Lead financial reporting, providing insights and strategic recommendations to the CEO.
- Strategic market entry: Support management in market launches, focusing on financial integration and optimizing resources for both organic growth and M&A opportunities.
- Collaboration with management and external advisors: Work closely with our leadership team as a sparring partner in the preparation of financing rounds, preparation of board/ shareholder meetings and oversee coordination with external tax and payroll advisors
- Compliance & process improvement: Ensure financial controls, compliance with regulations, and drive improvements in financial processes to enhance scalability and the reduce manual work.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or similar
- Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in financial management or controlling, ideally gained in consulting, SMEs, or startups, ideally with hands-on experience in accounting software (Scopevisio, DATEV, or similar systems).
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cash flow management, basic experience with treasury strategies, and solid understanding of HGB/IFRS accounting standards.
- Soft skills: Leadership abilities to manage a growing team, with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong strategic thinking.
- Communication skills: Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Language skills: Fluency in both English and German is required, ensuring clear interaction with international stakeholders and local partners.
