About this job

For our path on the commercialization of the ALi CE protein production platform, we seek a (Senior) Scientist Molecular Biology with demonstrated ability to serve as a scientific advisor in customer calls and design and order DNA constructs for customer projects as well as communicating with other internal and external parties on DNA-related topics.

Your responsibilities

Key accountabilities and duties:

• Serve as a scientific advisor in customer calls and design and order DNA constructs for customer projects.
• Lead scientific communications with external DNA providers
• Serve as internal subject matter expert for all DNA-related topics

• Design, plan and analyse experiments to advance DNA template use in ALi CE
• Coordinate the work of laboratory technicians
• Allocate team members and hold them accountable
• Compile data on research conducted and report findings through writing or presentations
• Translate research into technologies that consumers can use or benefit from
• Drive the collaboration with external stakeholders (collaboration partners, customers, agencies etc.)
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive projects to ensure proper integration and alignment with Lenio Bio’s roadmaps.
• Support in budget planning
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
• Research and introduce specialized equipment to advance and automate processes at Lenio Bio

• Strategic thinking: From ideation to production; stay involved, stay engaged, contribute proactively
• Engage in establishing a ‘can do’ culture
• Encourage constructive feedback whenever, wherever

Requirements

This job will suit you best if you

• have a Ph D in Molecular Biology or related field
• have at least 3 years of industrial experience
• have experience with production of difficult-to-express proteins and DNA libraries desired
• are a solution oriented and decisive person and a strategic thinker
• have a customer-oriented and analytical mindset
• encourage open and constructive discussions
• have proven project management skills
• have good communication and presentation skills in English (German is a plus)
• are interested in people development (Coaching & Mentoring)
