VAT Accountant
(m/f/d)

Place: Neckartenzlingen
Type: Hybrid/Full-Time
Level: Mid-Senior

You will make an impact in the following way:

  • Ensuring VAT compliance for the German Belden Group companies in collaboration with the accounting team
  • Monitoring VAT-related processes to guarantee full compliance with tax regulations
  • Timely and accurate preparation and submission of accounting-related reports to various authorities, especially VAT returns and recapitulative statements
  • Independent evaluation of VAT-related business transactions
  • Participation in the development of a tax-specific control matrix as part of our internal control system
  • Involvement in the creation and implementation of a tax compliance system
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements according to HGB for German entities
  • Acting as a key contact for accounting and VAT issues, liaising with supervisors, departments, auditors, tax advisors, and authorities, including preparing and providing financial data and reports
  • Assuming responsibility for or supporting VAT and accounting-related process improvements and projects

What you will bring:

  • Education – Completed degree in economics and/or additional qualification as a certified accountant
  • Experience – More than 5 years of professional experience in the field, preferably in an international environment
  • Knowledge & tools – In-depth knowledge of accounting according to HGB (German Commercial Code), strong expertise in VAT regulations, advanced SAP skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Personality – Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and motivation to drive change
  • Language proficiency – Fluent in German and English
