VAT Accountant

(m/f/d)

Place: Neckartenzlingen

Type: Hybrid/Full-Time

Level: Mid-Senior

You will make an impact in the following way:

Ensuring VAT compliance for the German Belden Group companies in collaboration with the accounting team
Monitoring VAT-related processes to guarantee full compliance with tax regulations
Timely and accurate preparation and submission of accounting-related reports to various authorities, especially VAT returns and recapitulative statements
Independent evaluation of VAT-related business transactions
Participation in the development of a tax-specific control matrix as part of our internal control system
Involvement in the creation and implementation of a tax compliance system
Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements according to HGB for German entities
Acting as a key contact for accounting and VAT issues, liaising with supervisors, departments, auditors, tax advisors, and authorities, including preparing and providing financial data and reports
Assuming responsibility for or supporting VAT and accounting-related process improvements and projects

What you will bring:

Education – Completed degree in economics and/or additional qualification as a certified accountant
Experience – More than 5 years of professional experience in the field, preferably in an international environment
Knowledge & tools – In-depth knowledge of accounting according to HGB (German Commercial Code), strong expertise in VAT regulations, advanced SAP skills and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
Personality – Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and motivation to drive change
Language proficiency – Fluent in German and English
