The ANNAX Group has been part of the Wabtec Corporation group since 2018 and has 3 locations in Germany, Switzerland and China with over 360 employees. ANNAX provides the overall technical solutions to generate, transmit and display information. Our system solutions in the rail industry include ANNAX passenger information with many already integrated subsystems, such as seat reservation, passenger counting, video surveillance, information for the blind and deaf , infotainment/entertainment system and others.
We are now looking for a Technical Product Manager - Electronics (m/f/d) to strengthen our global team at our Munich-Brunnthal location.
Scope/Job Objective:

The Technical Product Manager in the Transit Services Group (TSG) is responsible for providing technical and strategic product leadership for the passenger information systems (

Lead and manage all technical aspects for the service activity per product, from R&D to tender and project execution at global level in coordination with Central Services product management, local engineering teams and Co C-OE engineering teams.
The effectiveness of this position is measured by the achievement of Transit engineering objectives, specifically, new products and services development, growth in pillars, tenders and projects engineering costs, time to close out engineering issues and proactiveness in continuous improvement activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical and strategic product leadership for the product line passenger information systems
  • Provide technical support for Transit Services Group (TSG) tenders worldwide
  • Support for Life Cycle Cost calculation & pricing
  • Lead the implementation of strategic improvement processes to maximize the re-use of existing designs in new projects; improve durability and reliability testing; and improve the quality of designs at customer release
  • Lead and manage TSG R&D activities on one’s product line in partnership with Product Management
  • Lead and provide technical support for customer issues resolution (safety, or quality)
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Formal recognized degree qualified in Engineering (Electrical Engineering: Electronics; Embedded Software Engineering; Power Engineering; Electronics & IT)
  • At least 8 years of extensive engineering experience in either rail, aerospace, automotive, defense
  • Experience in the railway industry and its service operation would be a plus
  • Specific product knowledge of Passenger information and announcement systems or electronics would be a plus
  • Complex analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills
  • A strong focus on providing the customer with products of the necessary quality to meet their requirements
  • Ability to provide strong technical leadership while working in a global matrix organisation coupled with people and project management skills
  • Fluent English, German or French would be a plus
