About the Platform team:
We are looking for a working student to join our platform team to support our current security effort. The platform team acts as an enabling team for our product teams and management. We take care of security, the onboarding of new technologies and tools in the company, as well as maintaining a code base that can be configured to deploy infrastructure components to our cloud hosting environment.
YOU WILL BE TAKING CARE OF

• Monitoring, investigating, and addressing security-related events, either by resolving issues directly or collaborating with the team for further action.
• Developing solutions to automate and monitor security events on the platform, enhancing proactive security measures.
• Assisting with Governance, Compliance, and Risk (GCR) tasks and supporting audit processes to ensure security standards are met.

YOU CHECK THESE BOXES

• Currently enrolled in a university program, ideally in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field with relevant courses.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and managing your own hardware (e.g., setting up a server or working with a Raspberry Pi).
• Familiar with at least one programming language, such as Python or Java Script.
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, Email, SSH, TCP/IP).
• Foundational understanding of security concepts, including Authentication and Authorization, Encryption, offensive and defensive security, security awareness, hardening systems, security architecture, and data security.
• Quick learner, ready to adapt to new challenges in a fast-evolving field.
• Ability to take ownership and work in a self-organized manner.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in the English language written and spoken, German is not required.

IT IS AWESOME IF YOU ALSO HAVE

• Experience with Ansible or other server automation tools.
• Familiarity with Cloud Dev Ops practices.
• Understanding of system architecture principles.
