We are looking for an experienced Support Engineer to join our team in Greece. You will play a critical role in troubleshooting complex security issues, providing timely solutions, and building strong relationships with our customers. You will help ensure customer success and security while contributing to the continuous improvement of our support processes.

We are looking for an experienced Support Engineer to join our team in Greece. You will play a critical role in troubleshooting complex security issues, providing timely solutions, and building strong relationships with our customers. You will help ensure customer success and security while contributing to the continuous improvement of our support processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to Akamai customers via phone, email, and chat for various security solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DDo S mitigation, web application firewalls (WAF), and other security services.
- Proactively monitor customer environments to identify and prevent potential security threats.
- Collaborate with internal Akamai teams to escalate and resolve security incidents efficiently.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Contribute to improving Akamai's security support tools and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a relevant technical role.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS).
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and system automation through scripting.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience working with SLA's and familiarity with ticketing systems.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of network security, virtualization technologies, and cloud infrastructure.
- Relevant security certifications such as Security+, CISSP.
- Familiarity with automation tools for system administration tasks.
