Quality Control Inspector

On behalf of our client, a global leader company in Oil & Gas industry, we are currently looking for a QC Inspector, to join the technical team in Komotini, Greece.
A day in the life of a Quality Control Inspector
You will monitor the construction quality-assurance/quality-control (QA/QC) programs and conduct detailed audits to assess the level of compliance with the QA systems, procedures, and related-quality activities. You will be responsible for all of QA/QC Civil related activities, as checking and reviewing the plans & specifications for the proper construction & quality implementation at job site and performing preinspection to ensure that all installed materials are within the standard in conformance to applicable drawings & specifications.

A day in the life of a Quality Control Inspector

Your day-to-day
- Check and review the plans and specifications for the proper construction and quality implementation at job site, perform pre-inspection to ensure that all installed materials are within the standard in conformance to applicable drawings and specs.
- Perform various checks and inspections as required and in line with the Inspection Test Plan, Project Specifications, applicable standards and concrete mix testing protocol requirements
- Perform civil and structural inspections and tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete curing
- Interpret design plans and specifications to verify the work installed and performed in accordance with the contract documents
- Produce activity reports as necessary to ensure that all QC activities have been fulfilled
- Inspect and monitors piling installation to ensure location and bearing
- Comply with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace
Requirements
- Master/Polytechnic degree in Civil Engineering
- 6+ years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance and quality control (specifically management of construction projects is required)
- AWS CWI, CSWIP SWI or approved equivalent certifications and ISO 9001 Training
- Extensive knowledge of quality assurance/quality control management practices, processes and current technology
- Proven experience in directing and implementing quality management systems and standards specified by ISO 9000, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and similar organizations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to, conduct presentations to management, and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals
