Position Overview
As a Vessel Performance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Market Strategy & Vessel Performance team. In this dynamic and innovative role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our advisory services, both in pre-sales and post-sales stages. Your main priorities will be a.) Collaborating with our global Sales team by providing sales tools, data-driven simulations, and performance monitoring solutions. b.) Offering customers fact-based decision support and insights to enhance vessel efficiency.
The Vessel Performance Analyst will be in Voúla, Athens, Greece with global responsibility reporting directly to the Head of Market Strategy & Vessel Performance at GIT Coatings.

• Generate and present customized business cases using vessel performance modeling, data analytics, and simulations of alternative scenarios.
• Develop simulation tools to assess the impact of our coatings and grooming programs on customers' vessels.
• Train the Sales team to understand the data behind the numbers and deliver compelling customer presentations.
• Create actionable insights by gaining a deep understanding of current and emerging regulations and trends, such as EEXI, CII, EU ETS, Rightship, carbon credits, IMO biofouling management guidelines, ISO cleaning standards, and IACS recommendations.
• Act as a Project Manager for strategic initiatives related to assessing the effects of coating and grooming technologies.
• Collaborate closely with our Data Science team to develop new concepts and services, focusing on biofouling risk assessment and management, as well as hull performance monitoring and improvement (ISO 19030 and beyond).
• Continuously enhance our capability to scale up advisory services within the marine market.
• Explore synergies with external partners and the start-up ecosystem to generate new knowledge and co-create value for our customers.

The Vessel Performance Analyst must be commercially focused, comfortable working within a sales-driven team environment, and have a deep understanding of customer experience requirements. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies:

• Exemplary time management skills, able to juggle multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Proactive and driven, with the ability to think critically and solve problems using innovative ideas.
• Analytical mindset, with proficiency in analyzing and interpreting large data sets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration within the Sales and Vessel Performance teams.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to operate and work comfortably in an English-speaking environment.

Academic Qualifications & Professional Experience

• University degree in Engineering, Marine/Naval Engineering, or a related/relevant field.
• Previous work experience or in-depth understanding of the marine market, including customers, regulatory frameworks, and market drivers.
• At least 1+ years of experience working with large datasets, ideally in the context of vessel performance and energy efficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Software for data visualization and analysis.
