Assurance - Financial Accounting Advisory Services - Software Engineer - Hong Kong

Within EY Assurance service line, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provide advisory services encompassing accounting and regulatory support on accounting change and special matters, accounting processes and controls support (remediation, long-term contract accounting and cost accounting), GAAP conversion and implementation, IPO and other public offering assistance, on call financial reporting advice, and transaction accounting and financial reporting assistance. We combine EY accounting, IT, analytical and process knowledge to help increase an organization’s efficiency, effectiveness and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Implement software modules that meet the technical and business requirements
- Assist the maintenance of go-lived projects
- Assist internal server maintenance
- Assist to build automation testing scripts
- Provide technical support to accounting/data analytics teammates
- Assist to build data dashboard for presenting the analytics results
- Draft the stored procedures/SQL statements for system backend functions or for report generation.
- Assist to build Restful API
- Assist to draft technical documents
- Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
- Actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
- Bachelor/Master Holder of Computer Science, engineering, Information System or related disciplines.
- Proficient one or more of the following programming languages, Java, Python, C/C++, PHP, Perl. Experience in usage of Power BI is a plus
- Web application technologies including HTML, CSS or Javascript
- Experience in databases (e.g. My SQL/Maria DB, MS SQL, Oracle)
- Experience in building web applications, PC applications or mobile applications.
- Knowledge of Linux operation is a plus
- Experience with version control tool (e.g. Git) is a plus
- Good analytics and problem-solving skill
- Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English, fluent Mandarin is highly preferred.
