Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be involved in new client onboarding, migration and leading Operations through the constant market-driven changes? This is an unique opportunity for you to join our Securities Services Operations team where we are responsible for delivering investor solutions that help clients protect their portfolios, optimize their efficiency and maximize opportunities in diverse global markets. The Investment Middle Office Services team (IMOS) provides asset managers the ability to leverage J.P. Morgan’s operational expertise, market leading technology and data infrastructure to manage their trade processing, asset servicing, collateral management, and investment record capabilities. The product encompasses a multi-asset class offering across listed securities, equity swaps, cleared and OTC derivatives, and bank loans, focusing on the needs of large asset managers.
As a Strategic Change Manager - Vice President within the Investment Middle Office Services team, you will be based in Hong Kong with oversight across the Asia Pacific region. You will take a leading role working with clients, various operations team, product development, business and technology partners to ensure the delivery of new client onboarding, migration as well as changes requested by clients.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful delivery of our strategic infrastructure build out and on-boarding of our clients onto that infrastructure by working with various operations teams on the overall readiness
- Manage the team through daily risks, issues and blockers while being accountable for the execution and delivery of assigned projects
- Represent Operations in the management of new business opportunities
- Work with technology and product partners to review and improve the design of systems, championing improvements to process flows to ensure scalability and to minimize manual touch points
- Establish dashboards and metrics
- Demonstrate progress and high quality of support to clients and senior management with clear and consistent statistics and commentary
- Partner closely with project teams on major system implementations, providing requirements, reviewing design, planning testing, data migration and implementation phases
- Develop diverse high performing teams and manage them effectively with clear objective, goals and targets across the teams to ensure continuous learning and development
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, and other related disciplines
- At least 8 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management related roles within the financial services industry
- Ability to engage effectively across teams, taking a leading role partnering with clients, project teams and technology in defining strategy for client management focusing on the day to day processes
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, cash management and corporate actions across products
- Deep operational subject matter expertise
- Excellent problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues, taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls
- Motivated and able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a team
- Track record in effectively managing high performing, diverse teams across multiple locations
- Ability to partner in a virtual team environment across multiple locations
