Position Overview:
Gelato Lab Hong Kong is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior Pastry and Gelato Chef to join our innovative team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start their culinary career in a dynamic environment focused on high-quality gelato and pastry production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Gelato Products: Assist in the creation of a variety of gelato flavors and desserts, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
- Packaging: Efficiently package ice cream for shipment and sale, maintaining presentation and respecting the cold chain.
- Cleaning Duties: Regularly clean and restock work and laboratory areas, including emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils to uphold hygiene standards.
- Inventory Management: Take inventory of supplies and assist in replenishing items in the laboratory as needed.
- Food Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Language Skills: Good command of English
- Experience: No previous experience is required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
