We do that through delivering consulting and research projects, tailored presentations, taking them on China innovation tours, and more. We are looking for an outstanding Marketing Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional determined to work in China's digital space in a small, agile, energetic and multinational team.
MARKETING ASSISTANT ROLE
In this role, you'll report directly to the Head of Marketing. You must be self-motivated, capable of managing content and projects independently, and communicate effectively with both external parties and the team.
HERE'S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
i) YOUR PROFILE.

• Excellent command of Mandarin. Excellent English, both spoken and written.
• Deep understanding / experience in China digital economy, Chinese tech ecosystems, ecommerce, marketing and Chinese consumers.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent analyst, researcher and writer, well structured, passionate and self-driven
• Ability to think independently and work in an organised manner
• Experience in organizing and structuring insights into presentation decks, research results and reports; can work effectively in Apple Keynote
• Holder of HKID or valid HK work permit is much preferred

ii) POSITION PURPOSE.

• Assist the Marketing Head in executing projects such as content writing, newsletter management, website maintenance, etc.
• Create and manage content such as articles, social media posts, and newsletters, ensuring high-quality, SEO-optmised engaging material.
• Conduct in-depth research to inform content creation, focusing on the China digital economy, Chinese tech ecosystems, ecommerce, marketing and Chinese consumers.
• Manage and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to successfully execute projects.

iii) MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
CONTENT CREATION

• Write and edit high-quality, SEO-optimized content aligned with marketing goals. (reports, articles, social media)
• Ensure all content is engaging and tailored to the target audience.
• Update and maintain website content to reflect current trends and company offerings.
• Execution of content-related projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with designers and other team members to produce visually appealing materials.
• Ensure that all content projects are marketed effectively along with Marketing Head across appropriate channels.

RESEARCH

• Conduct detailed research using primary Chinese sources to support content development.
• Stay updated on trends in the China digital economy and incorporate insights into content.
• Identify new research opportunities to enhance content relevance and depth.

NEWSLETTER MANAGEMENT

• Gather content + design and ensure timely newsletter distribution.
• Analyse newsletter performance metrics and optimize for better engagement
• Develop strategies with Marketing Head to grow the subscriber base and increase readership
