Mechanical Engineering Manager (work in HK)

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the small home appliances industry, with at least 5 years of experience specifically in the air treatment product segment
  • Proficient in 3D and 2D design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Solid Works, Inventor)
  • Hands-on experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation
  • Strong programming skills and familiarity with various programming languages
  • Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven track record of leading successful product design and development projects
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the small home appliances market
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and project transfer for OEM/ODM electronic products
  • Review engineering documents, such as sample approvals and engineering change orders
  • Manage development schedules, new product introductions, and the transition from design to production
  • Troubleshoot issues, provide cost-saving recommendations, and improve quality and production efficiency
  • Manage a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional internal departments
  • Train engineers on systems, procedures, and effective communication with customers
  • Participate in telephone conferences and meetings with customers
