Part-time Day / Term Assistant Lecturer (Whole Person Development Programmes)

Specialism:

Whole Person Development


Major Duties:

(a)
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)
To develop programme curriculum and teaching materials;

(d)
To act as Module Co-ordinator of Structured Whole Person Development (SWPD) Programme;

(e)
To participate in departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.


Requirements:

(a)
A recognized degree in Social Science, Social Work, Liberal Studies, or relevant discipline, or professional qualifications;

(b)
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure.


Notes:

(1)
The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”.

(2)
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.

(3)
The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus.

(4)
The appointee is subject to posting in different sites to suit the Council’s operational needs.

(5)
The work location will be in Youth College (Kowloon Bay) or Youth College (Yeo Chi Man).

(6)
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
