Innovation and Technology for Ageing (ITA)

The ITA team of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service works to contribute toward a better and more respectable life by adopting gerontechnology in social service and the community. The ITA promotes cross-disciplinary collaboration and co-creation in driving technology development and application, intending to enhance the well-being, quality of life, independence and self-reliance of the elderly, caregivers and healthcare staff.

Project Director (Ref No: HKCSS/089/2024)

Two-year renewable contract

Responsibilities :
Provide strategic leadership for the project, including overseeing related planning, budgeting and control processes

Develop and maintain platforms, think tanks, and interest groups related to the use of innovation, technology, and design in social services

Promote the adoption of innovation and technology among service operators and disadvantaged groups in the community through different initiatives

Support the Steering/ Advisory Committees by providing secretariat support and assisting in the formulation, implementation, and review of the business plan aligned with strategic objectives

Establish and maintain effective networks with strategic partners to enhance collaboration and achieve organizational goals

Requirements :
Degree holder in Social Sciences or related disciplines; Social Work degree a merit

A minimum of 7 years post-graduate experience in social welfare service

R&D development and project management, with managerial experience preferred

Creative, proactive, multi-tasking and self-motivated

Close network with NGOs and related professions will be an advantage

Excellent organisation, analytic, leadership and people management skills

Excellent negotiation, communications and writing skills

Proficient in both written and oral English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)

5-day work per week . 15-day annual leave.
