The Staff Reporter will play a critical role in shaping our news coverage with in-depth reporting and captivating storytelling that resonates with our diverse audience in the financial and economic sectors.
Your responsibilities will include researching, writing, and developing a stream of news articles that not only cover day-to-day events but also offer insightful analysis of market trends and occurrences. You will be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with industry contacts to aid in your reporting and uncover exclusive stories.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial journalism, a knack for delivering complex topics with clarity, and a passion for investigative reporting. Infopro Digital prides itself on its collaborative environment, so being a team player who thrives on feedback and communication is vital.
- Generate original news stories, features, and analysis pieces for various digital and print platforms.
- Conduct interviews with financial professionals, regulators, and central bankers.
- Collaborate closely with editors on story development and editorial decisions.
- Attend industry conferences and events to gather insights and report on discussions.
- Uphold the highest standards of journalism and ensure all content is accurate and newsworthy.
The successful candidate should have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism, preferably within financial or economic sectors.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong command of AP style.
- A thorough understanding of financial markets, economic policies, and related topics.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to analyze complex information.
- Strong communication abilities and rapport-building skills to establish productive industry contacts.
- Experience with digital journalism tools and a familiarity with analytics platforms is a plus.
- A degree in journalism, communications, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- A proactive attitude toward news gathering and a keen interest in current events.
