Key responsibilities

• To develop and maintain knowledge of a set of product domains (categories) in which they operate including market dynamics and product life cycles.
• To determine the appropriate approach to Market, the optimum commercial models and supplier relationships for a product/service or element of the Domains
• To work closely with internal business partners to understand their requirements, mapping these to the BT strategy and driving the "One-BT" agenda.
• To negotiate appropriate commercial and contractual arrangements with suppliers and for all products and services in their control, including using and loading information onto appropriate systems.
• To take personal ownership for utilization of contracts ensuring order channel strategy enables internal business partners to order items efficiently and contracts reflect customer requirements
• May be responsible for analysing demand history in combination with customer forecasts and other market intelligence to provide an accurate forecast of future demand.
• General Information 1: The role will be holding responsibilities for different Domains (Categories), but with very high focus on Telecommunication services (Access, Voice,…). Know-how on this area is a must

Strategic

• Support the development and execution of Connectivity category plans and sourcing activities, in collaboration with stakeholders and Connectivity suppliers, and deliver those plans using the appropriate procurement processes and sourcing levers
• Build and maintain Connectivity category knowledge, apply best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection, total cost of ownership and negotiation tactics

Professional skills

• 5 – 7 years’ experience within a Telco / Interconnect /Carrier Procurement function, with strong commercial Procurement skills, Bid Management experience and the ability to deliver value and results for BT
• Strong business knowledge in the Connectivity category, particularly around supplier capabilities, commercial models, product lifecycles and partner programmes required to deliver portfolio and customer requirements
• Demonstrates a track record of value adding capability and deliver against key metrics
• Ability to manage complex and commercial requirements between BT and Connectivity Suppliers, deliver projects and results on time and in full,
• Demonstrates effective continuous improvement skills

Language skills

• English on a fluent level is a must

• Russian or on a fluent level is a must

• Any other European language on a fluent level is an advantage
