Job Summary:
The Local Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement activities, focusing on acquiring materials, products, and equipment efficiently and cost-effectively. The role involves working closely with suppliers, conducting market analysis, and ensuring compliance with procurement standards and procedures. The Local Procurement Specialist must be fluent in English and Hungarian, with proficiency in Russian preferred.


Key Responsibilities:


Local Procurement Activities:
  • Source and procure materials, products, and equipment for local projects, ensuring they meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Conduct market analysis to gather pricing data and assess supplier capabilities, ensuring the selection of the most cost-effective and reliable options.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, focusing on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including project managers and engineers, to understand procurement needs and specifications.
Cost Estimation and Analysis:
  • Estimate costs of materials and products based on market analysis, using at least three sources of price information where available.
  • Collaborate with contractors to agree on cost estimation methods and pricing.
Contract Management and Compliance:
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed procurement documentation.
Communication and Coordination:
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Work closely with the Project Team to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Procurement or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or industrial sector.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English and Hungarian; proficiency in Russian is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and supplier base.
