Intermediate Infrastructure Security Operations Analyst

Tasks
- Participating in delivery of new technologies as a team participant or leader in small projects, specifically infrastructure vulnerability scanning and reporting.
- Collecting and analyzing requirements to develop technology strategies.
- Facilitating, documenting, and implementing standards.
- Providing consulting advice and guidance to customers and other GTS teams in their area of technical expertise.
- Escalation point involving potential troubleshooting and problem resolution assistance.
Requirements
- Relevant experience required in at least 2 of the following specialisms
- – Infrastructure/Network Security Policies and Procedures
- – SQL and/or scripting in Power Shell or Python with emphasis on API methods
- – Vulnerability Testing
- – Cloud infrastructure with emphasis on AWS services
- Linux and/or Mac OS
- Basic understanding across the entire spectrum of Infrastructure services provided by GTS including their delivery and support mechanisms (ITIL disciplines).
- Basic understanding of computing systems architecture, programming, networking, storage and operating system principles, and ideally on large-scale systems operations and procedures.
- Installation, maintenance and configuration skills of hardware and software associated with typical IT infrastructure.
- Problem resolution skills from root cause to resolution.
- Demonstrated skills in both verbal and written communication to be able to convey complex topics to GTS customers and stakeholders.
- Testing skills including analysis and documentation of test scripts.
- Acquire understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships.
- Meet targets and fulfill agreements even when adverse circumstances prevail.
- Apply relevant quality standards to all tasks undertaken.

- History and desire to automate processes.
- Knowledge of computing systems architecture, programming, networking, storage, operating system principles, and ideally on large-scale systems operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery Architectures, techniques, and processes.
- Awareness / familiarization with appropriate legislation including the Data Privacy Act.
- Certifications in relevant technologies, methods, or platforms.
- Demonstrate the key critical behaviors of commitment to task, communication, customer focus, decision making / problem solving, flexibility, tolerance of ambiguity, planning, prioritizing, and goal setting
