Network Management Tooling Engineer
We are seeking someone to join our team as a Network Management Tooling Engineer.
The Network Automation and Tooling Team works on multiple products and projects in a global organization to facilitate the work of network operations and to improve the stability of the Firm’s global data and voice network. The team's responsibility includes Engineering, Integration, Development and Operations of Network Configuration Management, Network Monitoring, Network Security and Network Packet Inspection Tools across both Vendor Made Solutions (Cisco / Arista / IBM / Redhat / Open Text / Broadcom / c Packet / Corvil) and many in-house developments. The Network Automation and Tooling Team has a requirement for a full-time member to assist their global team in the Budapest office.

What you’ll do in the role:
We give opportunity for the candidate to become Tooling Engineer/Subject Matter Expert of specific Fault, Configuration Management, Accounting, Performance or Security Management (FCAPS) during it’s specific lifecycle phase: #LI-RV1 #BPTECH
o Accounting and Security Management Tools are Vendor specific AAA (Authentication / Authorization / Accounting) Tools that ensuring the fact that only the specific user or system accounts can enter and authorized to the network devices and recording the logs (TACACS / RADIUS)
o Configuration Management Tools are either Vendor or Developed Utilities / Scripts that entering to the network devices through CLI / API methods, discovering the devices and collecting diagnostics / execute specific commands.
o Fault and Performance Management Tools are Alerting / Performance Management Tools, that are mainly Vendor Products to discover, poll the network devices or receiving SNMP traps / alerts, telemetry information or syslog messages
Ownership during end-to-end lifecycle of FCAPS Tools - From Proof of Concept -> Pilot -> Deployment / Production -> Regular Maintenance -> Decommission
o Review and Interoperability Testing of new Versions of FCAPS Tools, testing against underlying Enterprise Infrastructure elements compatibility
o Validate network devices against FCAPS Tools - check Monitoring, Configuration gathering functions and to make sure the network devices and components modelled properly also in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
o Create / Maintain Scripts / Utilities for FCAPS Tools Integrations / Certification / Maintenance
o Deployment of FCAPS Tools to Managed, HA and Geo-Redundant Data Centers
o Manage Operations of FCAPS Tooll
Act as team representative for regular scheduled network management review meetings
Provide coordination and act as a team interface between Network Engineering, Network Operations and Automation / Tooling Teams.
Facilitate and coordinate work with external vendors for tooling regarding bugs / updates and upgrades
Participate in network management design and peer reviews
What you’ll bring to the role:
Basic understanding of telecommunication devices / components (for example routers or switches)
Basic understanding Linux Operating system
Understanding of network management protocols, concepts (SNMP, Syslog, SSH, API or AAA), basic understanding enterprise infrastructure services (NTP, DNS, LDAP)
Previous experience of using Enterprise infrastructure components (Server Operating System or Hypervisor or Container or Storage or Network
Enterprise Authentication Methods)
Basic scripting experience is required (Python or Shell)
Understanding of Technical Asset and Vulnerability Lifecycle Management Workflows, Vendor issued End of Life notices / Certification / Inventory /Component level of mgmt Experience with Agile/Dev Ops network automation workflows

Understanding any of the specific infrastructure technologies (Linux Server Operating System – Redhat \ Virtualization - VMware ESXi, Container and Orchestration Technology – Docker \ Open Shift \ Kubernetes)
Understanding any of the specific enterprise authentication standards (LDAP or TACACS or RADIUS or Kerberos)
Understanding Redundant Server Architecture (RAID / Out of Band)
Experience in Asset Mgmt / CMDB administration
Strong organizational skills, customer service focus, attention to detail, and process orientation
Experience in additional Languages beyond Python (Perl or Java Script)
API methods experience (REST or SOAP or JSON)
Experience with databases (SQL or No SQL / Mongo DB)
Experience about Streaming Bus (Kafka)
Experience with using enterprise reporting / data warehousing systems (Splunk)
Experience with integration toolsets managing a variety of networking hardware vendors.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to distil and present information to business community in non-technical terminology
Business analysis skills, with the ability to forecast implications and provide consultative recommendations and solutions
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage operational lifecycle
