What functions will you perform?

• Manage the bookkeeping tasks
• Perform day-to-day and closing activities in cooperation with cross-functional departments
• Active participation in the implementation of ERP, support the local process
• Reconcile all assigned balance sheet accounts monthly including bank accounts
• Tracking and reporting of metrics on the overall financial accounting process
• Participating in process improvement and standardization projects
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly VAT returns
• Assist with the preparation of the yearly corporate tax return
• Organize the archiving of all financial records at year end according to the Hungarian Accounting Act and the relevant tax law
• Complete special projects as requested
• Assist with audit requests
• Support in developing processes and adapt current processes
• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports
• Develop relationships with external stakeholders e.g., corporates, service providers, consultants, etc.

Your profile

• University degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting or/and qualification as a chartered accountant
• 4 years + relevant professional experience in accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting practices, processes and systems
• Advanced English (oral and written), Hungarian language knowledge is a must
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Motivation to work in a quickly growing, dynamic and challenging environment
• Experience in energy sector is an advantage
