We are looking for passionate software engineers for our development team for Streaming Analytics products of Cloudera (featuring Flink, SQL Stream Builder and several other components related to stream processing). Flink is a general purpose distributed data processing technology designed for low latency, high throughput, massive scalability and high reliability. SQL Stream Builder provides our customers with a powerful, SQL oriented interface to develop and deploy large-scale stream processing jobs executed on Flink.

As a software engineer, you will be collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders in Hungary, the United States and other countries around the globe.

As a Staff Software Engineer in Test you will:

Work in a cross-functional software development team collaborate with other teams while focusing on product quality
Be responsible for the CI pipeline of the products that the team owns
Build, maintain and improve the automated testing capabilities and infrastructure
Drive automated test strategy and implementation in the team
Troubleshoot system level issues, root cause analysis, and resolve failures
Measure, maintain and increase product test coverage
Integrate team level testing solutions into the company-wide ecosystem
Drive the product releases to meet quality criteria
Enable, mentor and guide other team members to deliver high-quality software

We’re excited about you if you have:

BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience designing and building software systems
Sound knowledge of test methodologies and frameworks, including creation of test cases and test plans
Strong Java skills
Development experience in Linux environments
Experience with delivery pipeline tools, CI/CD solutions, automated testing
Good debugging, analytical and problem solving skills
Self-driven and motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship
Strong written and verbal English and communication skills

You may also have:

Experience with Apache Flink, Spark and/or Kafka
Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with containerization orchestration technologies: Kubernetes, Docker
Proficiency with Ansible
Proficiency with Python
