The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Vendor Onboarding is responsible for identifying, engaging, and successfully onboarding new vendors to enhance the company’s service offerings. This role involves adding, negotiating, establishing strong relationships with vendors, and ensuring that all vendors meet the company’s standards and requirements. The BDM will work closely with the procurement, legal, and operations teams to streamline the onboarding process and maintain a diverse and reliable vendor base.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential vendors that align with the company’s strategic goals and service needs.
- Initiate contact and build relationships with potential vendors.
- Develop and manage a streamlined vendor onboarding process, including vetting, contract negotiation, and integration.
- Ensure all necessary documentation and agreements are completed and compliant with company policies.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new vendors.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors during the onboarding process and beyond.
- Address any issues or concerns from vendors and provide ongoing support.
- Prepare and present reports on vendor onboarding progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities related to vendors.
- Use market insights to inform vendor selection and onboarding strategies.
- Experience in CRM will be added advantage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, vendor management, or procurement, preferably within the relevant industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and onboarding projects simultaneously.
