Key Responsibilities:-
Create and develop chemical processes, including selecting raw materials, designing equipment and instrumentation, and specifying operating conditions to achieve desired outcomes.
Work on the development of new chemical products or improvements to existing ones, considering factors such as product quality, cost and sustainability.
Continuously analyze and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and increase safety. This may involve conducting experiments, simulations and data analysis.
Ensure that chemical processes and systems meet safety standards and environmental
regulations. Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain product consistency and reliability.
Design and specify equipment and facilities for chemical manufacturing, ensuring they meet industry standards and are cost-effective.
Conduct research to explore new materials, processes and technologies. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
Manage and lead projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, setting project goals, budgets and timelines and ensuring successful project completion.
Prepare detailed technical reports, process manuals and documentation to support project work and compliance.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues and process problems in manufacturing operations.
Collaborate with chemists, physicists, other engineers and professionals in various fields to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:-
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Master’s or Ph D may be required for advanced roles).
Candidate requirement:-
Proven 3-4 years experience.
Strong knowledge with high academic record, which has experience in operating independently the chemical plants and has experience of production, as well as ensuring that process engineering standards and procedures are met during the development and improved upon as necessary.
