Job Description:
Established 70 years ago, Zodiac Clothing Co. Ltd is a vertically integrated, transnational corporation that controls the entire clothing chain from design, manufacturing, distribution to retail sales. With a manufacturing base in India & sales offices across India, Europe and USA, Zodiac employs over 2500 people. The company operates a 5000 sq. ft. Italian-inspired design studio at its Mumbai Corporate office building which is a LEED Gold Certified building.
ZCCL is seeking a motivated and experienced junior merchandiser to join our dynamic team in the international business division. The ideal candidate will be adept at streamlining processes, executing orders seamlessly while ensuring that target deliverables are met to provide our international customers with a positive after sales service.
Responsibilities:

• Studying tech packs: Demonstrate excellence in understanding the client’s needs, and breaking down their requirements in an efficient and easy to understand manner.
• Procurement of raw materials: Preparing bills of materials for ordering of raw materials, and ensuring that purchases are made in the timeline required.
• Development of prototypes: Ensuring that red seal and gold seal prototypes are developed within the timelines requested by the client and that key milestones are achieved.
• Feedback and communication: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders within the organization, ensuring an efficient pipeline of communication and execution.
• Operational Excellence: Follow established SOPs to ensure service excellence. Focus on maximizing productivity, and optimizing filing and distribution processes.
• Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to the production facilities of the company domestically when required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in export merchandising, with a successful track record in handling and executing specific client requirements. Experience in fashion, woven clothing, luxury or premium men’s product development is highly advantageous.
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Candidates with additional qualifications such as fashion design will be given preference.
Skills:

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in MS Office with strong Excel skills preferred.
• Knowledge of PD tools like Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels from the factory floor to senior decision-makers.
• Strong analytical abilities to streamline processes and develop effective solutions
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for developing new business opportunities.
