This position reports to

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects. The work model for the role is: #LI- Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Business for System Drive Division in Nelamangala- Bangalore India Key deliverables expected for the role: 1) Responsible for preparation of order specific customer drawings and production documentation of various families of AC & DC variable speed drives. 2) Participate in discussion with Customer/Consultant for approval of project drawings and involving during inspection in factory. 3) Maintain on time generation of drawings with supporting documents and achieving first pass yield above 95%. 4) Coordinating with vendors of drive system components for engineering documentation. 5) Contribute towards localization of 3rd party product components. 6) Participate in special testing requirements at other factories or customer sites. 7) Specification and evaluation of components of packaging projects like transformers, motors, switchgear panels, UPS, PLC panels, cables.

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum qualification:
• Degree – Electrical Engineering
• Key Competencies/skills required:
• 1) Familiarity and practice of all safety requirements including procedures, PPE, practices, hazard reporting etc.
• 2) Experience with engineering/testing of variable speed drives, and associated IEC/IS standards and HW & SW dimensioning tools.
• 3) Familiarity with operation and maintenance of switchgear, PLC, motors, transformers.
• 4) Familiarity with SAP and CAD tool like Eplan/ACAD Electrical.
• 5) Good communication skills – spoken and written English.
• 6) Good interpersonal skills and team working for working cross functionally to achieve team goals.
