About the Team


You would be working as a part of the Engineering function working alongside the development, QA and Dev Ops team to ensure implementation of shift left principles. Engineering teams are mainly spread across 2 regions, India & Croatia.

About the Role


As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) you will be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts for the entire Cloud Sense product suite, including both UI and API testing.


Specifically, you will:

• Work with product owners, architects, developers and QA Engineers to understand product capabilities and test approach in order to design the optimal automation framework for each product or type of product
• Develop and manage test automation frameworks, using the latest component technologies and ensuring compatibility with new Cloud Sense products and features.
• Assist the QA team in creating automation test scripts through training and reference materials.
• Champion the use of automation within the Cloud Sense Product Team, and seek opportunities to improve product delivery through the use of automation and AI tools.
• Additionally opportunity to plan and undertake performance, scalability and stress testing of some Cloud Sense software components

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in the Chennai office, you will be working with and testing applications that run on cloud platforms such as Heroku, Amazon Web Services and others. You will be testing and assuring quality products developed using a variety of established and evolving web technologies such as Node.js, Type Script, HTML and CSS.

Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial software development or software testing, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in test automation, and should have a relevant technical subject degree at the degree level.


Essential Skills

• Experience in building custom test automation frameworks that use Web Driver.io, Playwright, Selenium or similar.
• Experience in CI/CD building pipelines working Jenkins or Gitlab or Travis CI
• Demonstrable coding experience in Java Script, Type Script or Java
• Proficient in software testing concepts, specifically best practices in automation testing, API testing, and web-application testing.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
• Experience preparing test data, programmatically or through other automated processes
• Experience writing technical and/or end-user documentation
• Knowledge in working with JIRA, Confluence.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to or experience working with Salesforce or other CRM or Order Management software
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Experience in Integration testing
• Experience in API testing, writing stubs/drivers to test the integration points of one or more systems
• Experience working with Heroku or other Platform-as-a-Service products
• Ability to use simple SQL or SOQL to query databases.
• Experience in using Test Management tools like Zephyr Scale, Test Rail or similar
• Experience in Performance Testing using JMeter or similar tools
