Job Description
Pharmacist provide accurate medication distribution services and offer patients counseling on their medication needs. The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring that each prescription is filled in a timely manner and meets the health requirements of patients. Pharmacists also advise physicians about medication therapy. They also review for safety levels of newly manufactured drugs, recommendations on drugs with proper diets, medication or no prescription medicines, and also advise the suitable type of medicines such as pills, vaccines, injections, ointments and syrups.
Purpose, duties and responsibilities
· Welfare of all pharmacy staff
· Checking of all pharmacy department
· Responsibilities of purchase and issue of medicines
· Approval of purchase order
· Cross checking of purchased medicines
· Control the patient crowd while dispensing medicines
· Expiry control of all available medicines
· Senior pharmacist purchase the medicines as per the order from the pharmacy incharge and checked the purchased medicines with purchase order
· Nearing Expiry returning
· Control of Narcotic drugs, Ortho and Cardiac Implants
Qualification
· should possess B-Pharm and D-Pharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
