Needing a professional experienced groomer to fill our Wed/Fri and Sat grooming schedule
Responsibilities:
- Provide grooming services to dogs
- Perform bathing, brushing, and hair trimming according to client preferences and breed standards
- Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment
- Monitor the health and well-being of pets during grooming sessions
- Provide basic grooming services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for pets during the grooming process
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and preferences
- Maintain accurate records of each pet's grooming history
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dog grooming a must
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming needs
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners effectively
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing
- Familiarity with basic veterinary procedures and animal handling techniques is a plus
- Certification as a veterinary technician or completion of a pet grooming program is desirable
