We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head
In this role, you will:
- A hands-on technology Deliver high-quality solutions that meet the business needs. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team. Manage the Sub Value Stream Backlog, to prioritize quarterly delivery targets and resolve conflicts and manage dependencies.
- Provide specialist technical knowledge and experience to influence adoption of best-in-class engineering practices and strong Agile/Dev Sec Ops culture in Credit & Lending engineering teams supporting workflow systems.
- Responsible for building and maturing the self-sustained Dev Ops teams to carry out the development, maintenance and support of the workflow systems.
- Executing the DCP strategy, driving innovation, and overseeing the development and delivery of cutting-edge solutions with a tight control around Cost, Schedule and Quality aspects
- Actively collaborate with wider technology horizontals and the DCP platform to manage Architecture & Design, Dev Ops Standards & Tools, Engineering, Application Support, IT Management Services, IT Quality, Data, IT People & Location Strategy, IT Sourcing & Vendor Management, IT Risk Management, Information Security, and Infrastructure teams.
- Adheres to standards for the management of Resilience Risk as set out in the Group’s framework for Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk management, and Resilience Risks are managed within appetite.
- Recruitment and leadership of talent, manage skill & performance, support career development and drive a strategic outcome aligned future focused engineering discipline.
- Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand and values.
- A successful technology leader must have a broad knowledge of program management principles, practical agile experience, a strong technical background and proven experience in transforming the ways of working of a technology team.
- A strong commercial acumen. The successful applicant will be able to balance technical excellence with commercial practicality, driving outcomes which take the business forward within a sound commercial context.
- 14+ years of IT experience with strategic mindset and knowledge in MS-Power Platform, API Architecture and API Engineering such as REST, API Gateways and Management Platforms, Cloud-native stack, Spring boot
- A proven capability of leading and managing platform-oriented solutions and an exceptional knowledge of the project lifecycle, and Agile / Dev Ops software engineering models, an Agile & Dev Ops evangelist who can help mature the organization.
- Requires very strong abilities in critical thinking, creativity, and innovation in developing new concepts, theories, and products to address complex and strategic issues.
- Delivery of Complex Change: Have consistently demonstrated the successful management and delivery of complex transformational change both regionally and globally.
- Ability to make technical decisions by staying abreast of advancements in related technologies and Drive Engineering & Service Efficiency / Excellence. Develops new and adapts existing processes for increased quality and efficiency whilst encouraging others to seek new ideas/solutions to day-to-day problems.
- Communication and engagement skills are critical to the success of the role. The successful candidate will carry a strong professional presence with the ability to engage and communicate throughout the breadth and depth of the organization.
